An edgy new restaurant called The Flat, which bills its food as “planet-friendly indulgence, done simply,” is located just up the street from Angela’s (see below). It’s a vegetarian and vegan pizzeria and pasta shop where the food is prepared from scratch with organic, sustainably produced ingredients. Simple fare consists of three pasta dishes and seven pizzas (two sizes from which you can select). The pizza with blue cheese, truffle, and radicchio is my favourite. There are bases without gluten. Small pizzas cost £6.

Harry’s is a perfect venue if you are looking for casual brunches, lunch dates, small meals, and quick nibbles. Reviewed as one of Trip Advisor’s top restaurants in Exeter, this delectable restaurant has made a name for itself as the city’s favourite place to eat.
